The County will not finish cleaning all the roads until a month and a half before the summer holidays. Until then, cars will raise dust and tenement buildings will get dirty. What is the situation on city roads? “We started sweeping the streets in February. It was the first post-winter cleanup. Everything is proceeding according to schedule; we are now going to sweep the city streets for the fourth time,” says Piotr Tutak, deputy transport manager at the Municipal Communal Services Plant.

As Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk, spokesperson for Bolesławiec County, explains, the local government is responsible for cleaning 300 km of county roads and 100 km of provincial roads. “They are swept successively; it cannot be done overnight,” she stresses.

She adds that the County has bought a street sweeper, which is to be sent onto the roads next Monday. “We assume that everything will be cleaned by May 15,” says Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk.

Do clouds of dust really have to rise from county roads every year? Could officials not have planned the cleaning earlier or bought a street sweeper? As we can see, the city is managing. You can express your opinion below the article.
