The April programme of the Film Discussion Club features only three, but exceptionally remarkable, film stories:
- the story of a complicated relationship between a mother and son, awarded the Golden Bear at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival, as well as perceptive social cinema confronting the pathologies prevailing in contemporary Central and Eastern European countries, in the Romanian drama “Child’s Pose”
- “Locke” – the story of one man who, over the course of a gripping 90-minute film, struggles against time while resolving seemingly impossible problems
- a madcap story about the residents of a small Croatian island who tackle the worsening demographic decline in the film “The Father”. The film was nominated for a European Film Award in the Comedy of the Year category.
