The representatives of the Oxpress Bolesławiec Students’ Sports Club took part in the second edition of the “For a Child’s Smile” Swimming League. More than 200 swimmers from Bogatynia, Lubań, Bolesławiec, Chojnów, Wrocław and Zgorzelec competed in the event held in Zgorzelec.
The athletes from Bolesławiec confirmed their place among the leading competitors in our region. The participants in the recent Polish Championships put in strong performances: Iza Tkaczyk, who left her rivals no chance and won her age category (1998–2000), as well as Klaudia Petters (third place) and Agata Knapik (fourth place).
The first place in the 2001–2002 category went to Julita Węglicka, while Patrycja Faryna took second place. Fourth place went to Iwan Sushanka (2003–2004) and Maciej Kozik (2005 and younger). Julita Jośko (2003–2004) and Patryk Zielonka finished seventh (1998–2000).
Also deserving recognition is Radosław Kędzia (2005 and younger), who secured twelfth place after two months of training. All the male and female athletes performed excellently and improved their personal bests.
