The incident occurred during the night of 8–9 March. Police officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec stopped a 24-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality on the A4 motorway. The driver significantly exceeded the speed limit, travelling at 160 km/h in a place where the limit was only 110 km/h.
What is more, it turned out that the man was drunk. He had nearly one per mille of alcohol in his system. The 24-year-old now faces a sentence of up to two years in prison.
