The works presented at the exhibition were created in June last year during the symposium held in Bolesławiec. Sixteen artists from different parts of the world took part in the symposium. From Poland: Kazimierz Kalkowski, Krystyna Gay-Kutschenreiter, Barbara Falender, Kinga Ogórek and Władysław Garnik; from Mexico: Maria Eugenia Belden Rangel; from the USA: Stephanie Young; from Austria: Daniel Wetzelberger; from France: Marion Devillers; from Belarus: Hanna Ambrosava; from Ukraine: Larysa Antonova; from France: Sophie Maslowski and Julien Djedaoua-Innocenti; from Italy: Abdon Zani; and from Spain: Marc Iturri Torrellas.

The symposium curator was ceramic artist Mateusz Grobelny. For a month, the artists worked at three Bolesławiec ceramic plants: Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec”, „Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego and Fabryka Naczyń Kamionkowych „Manufaktura” Sp. J. Smoleński& Zwierz.

For the first time, the people of Bolesławiec had an opportunity to admire the artists’ work in August during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival, in a gallery specially built for the exhibition beneath a dome in the Market Square.

The long-standing organizer of successive editions of the symposium is Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki. The opening in Leipzig will take place on Tuesday, March 11, at 6:00 p.m.
