The Chairman of the County Council, Karol Stasik, spoke about the county’s good cooperation with the municipalities of Warta Bolesławiecka and Gromadka on road investments. However, according to the chairman, it had not been possible to convince other local governments that joint promotion was more effective than acting independently. Deputy county governor Stanisław Chwojnicki also spoke about road investments to date. The deputy county governor also informed the journalists attending the conference that 140 foster families had already been organized in Bolesławiec County.

The County Board’s full-time member responsible for Bolesławiec County education, Dariusz Kwaśniewski, spoke about county education matters. In this field, the county can boast achievements in vocational education, which are particularly visible compared with the educational achievements of neighboring counties. Dariusz Kwaśniewski also spoke about the renovated theater and the Bory Dolnośląskie project.

In addition to the county authorities, representatives of the county hospital were also present at the conference. The journalists asked the hospital director, Adama Zdaniuka, among other things about the hospital’s debt, which currently amounts to PLN 16 million. They also asked about patients’ waiting time for examinations, which, according to the director, had neither increased nor decreased. The director said that the hospital was seeking to acquire two ambulances. The ambulance damaged in the last accident is beyond repair.

Adam Zdaniuk also spoke about the planned opening of a gastroenterology department (the treatment of diseases of the digestive system: the esophagus, stomach, intestines, anus and digestive glands; the liver, pancreas and bile ducts). The location of the infectious diseases department will also change. It will be moved to the ground floor of the administrative building. A further PLN 1.2 million is needed to open it. Emergency medical services, which were previously located there, have been moved to the Emergency Department building. The neurology department will also be expanded at the hospital.
