On Tuesday, officers of the Straż Miejska w Bolesławcu were patrolling the area around the railway viaduct. Around 3:00 p.m., they noticed two young girls using spray paint to write on the viaduct pillars. The guards detained the girls. One is 17 and the other is 18.
If the damage is assessed at more than PLN 400, the older teenager could face up to five years in prison. The younger girl will answer for her actions before a family court.
“Guards patrol this area several times a day. However, our interventions more often concern littering or drinking alcohol; there certainly have not been many acts of vandalism of this kind,” says Emil Zając, commander of the Straż Miejska w Bolesławcu. He adds: “We are installing a camera there so that our actions can be even more effective.”
