At the request of the Jelenia Góra WORD, traffic organization was changed in three locations in Bolesławiec in January this year. The biggest change concerns the intersection of Gdańska and Śluzowa Streets. “We introduced an intersection with equal priority there,” Paweł Broniszewski, a supervising examiner from the Wojewódzki Ośrodek Ruchu Drogowego in Jelenia Góra, said in an interview with “ii” Paweł Broniszewski.
Importantly, since the traffic organization was changed at this location, the police have not recorded any collisions there, which means that Bolesławiec drivers are not driving from memory.
Another change concerns Narutowicza Street. In Bolesławiec, Broniszewski explains, there are many one-way streets without designated traffic lanes. “The only thing missing was one with designated traffic lanes,” the examiner adds. Now there is one, because Narutowicza Street currently meets this requirement.
Traffic lanes were also designated on Gałczyńskiego, on a section of a dual carriageway (where the carriageway is crossed by a grass strip). “We will not apply for any further changes,” Paweł Broniszewski assures.
According to the latest information, the Bolesławiec WORD is to begin examining driving-licence candidates as early as February this year.
