The detention took place at one of the marketplaces in Bolesławiec. Two residents of Legnica, aged 30 and 41, were caught red-handed as they attempted to sell someone half a kilogram of tobacco for PLN 50. The suspects had three bags of tobacco without Polish excise stamps in their possession. Moreover, officers found another 14 bags in the detainees’ car. In total, nearly 8.5 kg of illegal tobacco was secured.
Both suspects now face a sentence of up to three years in prison.
