The accident occurred on Saturday at around 5:00 p.m. on the road between Raciborowice and Żeliszów. The driver of a Ford Fiesta, a 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, hit a tree. He was drunk. The passenger, his friend, died at the scene. He was 24 years old and lived in Złotoryja County.
The driver, who suffered general bruising, is in hospital under observation. Police officers are guarding him.
