On 10 December 2013, the formal signing of the cooperation agreement for the “Bolesławiec Local Partnership – Active with Passion” took place at Bolesławiec’s Wedding Palace. The partnership received the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman. The “Active with Passion” partnership is an agreement between institutions, associations, entrepreneurs and individuals.
The partnership’s main objective is to engage Bolesławiec residents through the creative and innovative use of people’s potential and resources, consolidate activities and focus on cooperation, mutual support, and the organisation of local social and civic initiatives.
The partnership’s objectives will be achieved by: creating conditions for the development of social initiatives; developing frameworks and principles for cooperation between various entities; integrating communities and fostering cooperation between entities; promoting and recommending activities undertaken by various communities to support the local development of the city; exchanging information and experience, initiating activities that encourage the development of knowledge and qualifications and continuous improvement; raising local community awareness of joint action and spending free time together; promoting the history of the city and region, developing patriotic attitudes, and providing mutual support in carrying out activities by making resources available, including knowledge, expertise, premises and educational facilities, and equipment; applying for financial resources from domestic and foreign aid funds; organising assistance and self-help.
The partnership is led by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec. Its signatories are: the “Razem” Association Against Violence, the TOP Association of Physical Culture, the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Polish Red Cross, entrepreneur Stanisław Kuduk, the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Commando Special Forces Company, and Caritas at the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Nicholas.
The partnership is a civic body operating on the basis of voluntary contributions of work, and is open to everyone willing to act in accordance with the main objective behind its establishment.
