The Polish Volleyball Federation – at the request of the women’s national team coach Piotr Makowski – has approved the Polish national team squad, reduced from 22 to 14 players, which will begin preparations for the World Championship qualifying tournament. The group includes Bolesławianka Dorota Medyńska, currently a player for Wrocław’s Impel (playing as a libero).

The final squad will be announced at the beginning of January 2014. It will consist of 12 volleyball players. The tournament will take place on 3–5 January 2014 in Łódź. Poland’s opponents will be the teams from Belgium, Spain and Switzerland.
