The second Polish Racketlon Championships, the Lexmark Racketlon Cup 2005, were held last weekend in Zgierz near Łódź. Athletes from across the country competed in the championships. Fifty-eight men and 13 women competed for the Polish Champion title. The women played in a double-elimination format. The first defeat did not mean elimination from the tournament. A player with one defeat could still compete for a bronze medal.
Bolesławiec native Krystyna Szwajkowska avenged last year's defeat by beating Sylwia Borek from Nowy Sącz in the final. The competition for the best athlete in an individual discipline included in racketlon was also decided during the championships. In badminton, the Bolesławiec athlete was likewise unbeatable.
Norbert Stolicki from Bolesławiec also took part in the II Polish Racketlon Championships. He finished sixth in the Open category.
