In May, we reported that in a competition organised by Wrocław University of Economics as part of the “Be Entrepreneurial” project, a team from II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Janusza Korczaka in Bolesławiec took first place. The team’s final presentation (comprising Adrian Fehring-Dworak, Magdalena Broszko, Krystian Fecyk and Marcin Kołodziej – all members of the school club covering the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, supervised by teacher Dorota Kurowska) was prepared down to the smallest detail. It concerned the Interactive Science Centre “ScienceLab”.
“I came up with this idea at the beginning of the school year [2012/2013 – editor’s note], and then we developed it together in April,” Adrian Fehring-Dworak told us at the time. “That was when the final version of the ISC was created. We want to present students from various schools with experiments in natural-science subjects, especially physics.”
The idea behind the Interactive Science Centre “ScienceLab” has been put into practice. The room was renovated and equipment was purchased. Responsibility for implementing the project and for the interactive room lies with Mariusz Wierzchosławski, a physics teacher.
Moreover, the project has received media patronage from the renowned popular-science periodical “Wiedza i Życie”. Detailed information is available on the “Wiedza i Życie” website.
Everyone interested in taking part in the classes is invited by the ScienceLab team every Tuesday at 14:15 to room 113.
