The Bolesławiec Swimming Marathon is now behind us. It was held on November 11 at the “Orka” Water Park. More than 100 swimmers took part in the competition, organized to mark Independence Day, including participants from Bolesławiec, Wrocław, Legnica, Polkowice, Świebodzice, Rudna, Zgorzelec, Chojnów and Lubań. The youngest competitors were just 8 years old, while the oldest female swimmer was 72.
Katarzyna Kita won the women’s overall classification (1995; time: 12:42.59). Agata Litwin took second place (1992; time: 12:46.25), while third place went to Ewa Węckowska (1999; time: 13:01.31). In the men’s category, Jacek Arentewicz proved unbeatable (1997; time: 11:11.82). Jonasz Szkirpan came second (1997; time: 12:50.56). Bartosz Kościelniak took the third step of the podium (1993; time: 13:04.44).
