The Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Jarosław Thiel, will perform Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, Op. 60, and Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, “Pastoral.” Admission to the concert is free. Invitations are required and can be collected at the Forum cinema box office. Seating is limited.
The Wrocław Baroque Orchestra was founded in October 2006 by Andrzej Kosendiak, director of the Wrocław Philharmonic. It is the only philharmonic ensemble in Poland that performs on historical instruments. As part of each Wrocław Philharmonic artistic season, it presents its own concert series, which is warmly received by audiences. The Orchestra’s repertoire encompasses works from the early Baroque to the beginning of Romanticism, from chamber compositions to major oratorio works. Since the Orchestra began operating, its artistic director has been cellist Jarosław Thiel.
