Since Thursday (October 31), traffic lights have been operating at the intersection of Gdańska, Garncarska, Kubika and Łokietka Streets. The lights are intended to make entering the intersection from Gdańska and Kubika Streets, above all, safer. This mainly concerns situations in which drivers approaching the intersection from the aforementioned streets wanted to turn left or go straight ahead. This was often very difficult.

The traffic lights are also intended to ensure the safety of pedestrians crossing at the crosswalks within the intersection. Left-turn lanes have also been marked at the intersection for drivers travelling along Gdańska and Garncarska Streets. Are traffic lights necessary at this intersection?
