The exhibitions are curated by Marita Benke-Gajda, a long-standing lecturer at the Sculpture in Ceramics Studio of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. The Long Gallery of BOK-MCC will present the artistic ceramics exhibition “Sculpture Preserved by Fire.” The exhibition was created to mark the 20th anniversary of the Sculpture in Ceramics Studio and features nearly 60 works by 25 people. Meanwhile, the BOK-MCC Gallery will present works by Magdalena Cisło, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Sculpture.

For nearly 200 years, the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków has trained visual artists in various specializations. Since 1991, this has also included students studying at the Sculpture in Ceramics Studio, headed by Professor Czesław Dźwigaj with the participation of lecturer Marita Benke-Gajda.

The Bolesławiec exhibitions will be open until December 29, 2013.
