I would like to raise the issue of street lighting in the newly developing housing estate on Rotmistrza Pileckiego Street, that is, on the road between Warszawska and Śluzowa streets. The newly built road is completely unlit, overgrown with bushes and trees, which encourages numerous thefts on building plots.
In addition, people returning home in the evening are concerned about their safety because of the darkness there. People would rather walk along Śluzowa Street, around the estate, than take the new, good road without lighting.
Bolesławiec Secretary Jerzy Zieliński explains: “Before the building plots were sold, only technical roads were constructed, in such a way that it was possible to reach the construction site. However, in order to prevent them from being damaged while sewerage, water, gas and telecommunications connections are being installed, the construction of roads and accompanying infrastructure, including street lighting, is carried out once all the properties adjoining the road have been developed. So far, 8 plots have been sold on Rotmistrza Pileckiego Street; 12 remain for sale.
