The Kreamiksymposium symposium in Gmunden lasts five weeks and began on 8 September. During this time, twelve ceramic artists from Germany, Portugal, Italy, Poland, England, Sweden, Austria and Belgium are creating works at the Gmunden Ceramics Manufactory.

The best works created during the symposium will be presented as a permanent exhibition in a room at K-Hof in the Museum in Gmunden. Some of them will form a touring exhibition that will be presented in several European cities.

This year's symposium included an artist from Bolesławiec. He is this year's commissioner of the International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium.

The symposium in Gmunden is the equivalent of the MPCR organized by BOK-MCC. It has been held every two years since 1956. This year's editions of both symposiums are being carried out as part of the ARGINET European cooperation project, co-financed by the European Union's Culture Programme. In addition to Bolesławiec and Gmunden, the project involves the cities of Faenza (Italy), Aubagne (France) and Argentona (Spain). The project's aim is to improve and increase the attractiveness of ceramics markets in these regions, particularly by organizing exchanges of cultural events.
