The incident occurred in a high-rise building at 36 A Gałczyński Street. In one of the apartments, on the fifth floor, a pot on the cooker caught fire. Nobody was in the apartment. To enter the apartment, firefighters had to force the door open.
This is already the second incident in the same apartment within three months. At the end of June, neighbours called the firefighters because there was a lot of smoke in the apartment. At that time, the female tenants were in the apartment and asleep. They suffered mild carbon monoxide poisoning, and one of them was taken to hospital for observation.
Three fire service units and the police took part in today's operation. Nobody was injured.
