The Euroregional Cycling and Sports and Recreation Weekend, organized by the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the German club SV Horken Kittlitz E.V., and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, is underway. On the first day, among other events, a rugby tournament was held, won by Husar Bolesławiec. Rugby players from Kaskady Szczecin came second. Miedziowi Lubin finished third.

In the recreational bench press competition, Izabela Słoma won the women's category. Elżbieta Dec came second, and Krystyna Abramowicz third. Among the men, Dominik Flinik proved to be the best. Adrian Markowski took second place, and Jakub Lisiewski third.

A pair from Kittlitz won the boule tournament, defeating the Bolesławiec team in the final—the only Polish team to reach the competition's semifinals. Detailed results will be published next week.

The Euroregional weekend continues—tomorrow's program

  • 10:00 – recreational Bolesławiec–Kliczków cycling rally (meeting point at the Galeria Wedding and Banquet Centre, II Armii Wojska Polskiego Street)
  • 10:00 – tennis tournament—singles matches
  • 11:00 – Poland–Germany exhibition rugby match
  • 13:00 – paintball games.

The event is held under the honorary patronage of Piotr Roman, president of the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Nysa Euroregion.
