At the end of September, the 14th edition of the Nationwide 7-a-side Football Tournament of the Special Olympics will be held in Bydgoszcz. Lower Silesia will be represented by a team from Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec, playing in the following lineup: Gabriel Sondaj, Arkadiusz Kubuś, Andrzej Puzio, Bartosz Rudziński, Maciej Kubiszewski, Piotr Obrzut, Tomasz Bochenek and Marcin Przyłucki.
The PZSiPS team won the 11th Lower Silesian Special Olympics Football Tournament, which took place in April 2013. At that time, our players defeated the favored teams from Jelenia Góra and Lwówek Śląski. Qualifying for the championships is, so far, the greatest success in team sports in the history of the Bolesławiec institution.
The students train under the supervision of Dariusz Mucha, a member of the Special Olympics Association and a friend of the club. The team is supervised by: Halina Małyska and Waldemar Krzemiński, teachers at Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec.
