A story about five exceptionally talented musicians (Tymon Tymański, Mikołaj Trzaska, Leszek Możdżer, Jacek Olter and Jerzy Sikala), one of the finest Polish documentary films – “Miłość” – will open the September programme of the Film Discussion Club at Kino Forum.
During the subsequent meetings, audiences will be able to see “Beyond the Hills” by Golden Palm winner Cristian Mungiu (at last year’s Cannes IFF, the film received awards for best screenplay and acting), “Fill the Void” (a fascinating portrait of the Hasidic community, seen through the eyes of a young woman who must choose between her heart’s desire and family duty). Comedy fans will certainly also enjoy “Frances Ha”, directed by Noah Baumbach, creator of the award-winning “Greenberg”, among others.
The September programme will conclude with the film “The Broken Circle Breakdown”, which received the audience award at the 2013 Berlinale. It tells the story of the great love between Didier, the band’s leader, and Elise, the owner of a tattoo studio—a couple whose relationship is put to a severe test by fate. The film’s outstanding bluegrass soundtrack is one of its strengths.
