Council members unanimously adopted a resolution “concerning amendments to Resolution No. XIII/82/11 of the Bolesławiec City Council of 31 August 2011 concerning the fare schedule for passenger transport services in public collective transport within the city of Bolesławiec.”
Once the legal act enters into force, period and network tickets for the urban network within the city limits of Bolesławiec will cost: PLN 63 (PLN 9 less) and PLN 31.50 (PLN 4.50 less). The quarterly fee for these tickets will be, respectively: PLN 170 (previously PLN 194) and PLN 85 (previously PLN 97). Personal monthly tickets will be abolished.
“In October and November last year, we conducted a survey of the entire transport network regarding occupancy and demand for urban transport services. The new network, which will apply from 1 September, requires changes to our fare schedule. Until now, we had four types of monthly tickets, with prices depending on distance,” said Andrzej Jagiera, president of MZK, during a joint meeting of the City Council committees. “Since the new MZK network means changes to route layouts, we proposed a solution that will encourage people to use public transport. We want to withdraw single-line tickets, whose prices depend on the number of kilometres, and encourage the purchase of network tickets.”
The resolution will enter into force 14 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
