The festival was created to promote film as a form of expression and to create a space for young artists looking for a way to present their own work, including outside the Internet.
The film “System”, directed by Szymon Wasylów (Grupa FIlmowa DwD), runs for two minutes in its YouTube version; the shortened version was submitted to the Festival of One-Minute Films and Forms. The production qualified for the second stage, and “System” is among the 160 one-minute films competing in the festival’s next stage.
The leading role was played by the very talented local musician Emanuel Broszko. His music can be heard on Soundcloud.
“My good friend Mateusz Szeremeta suggested that I try my hand at a film competition to create a one-minute fiction film,” says Szymon Wasylów. “After rejecting several ideas, I decided to make a film telling the story of a corporate employee thrown into the titular system,” adds the film’s director.
