During the official opening of the Ceramics Festival at the “Bolesławiec” Ceramic Works, held on August 22, ZC president Karol Stasik, county head Cezary Przybylski and mayor Piotr Roman unveiled a ceramic picture that was placed on the façade of the Works’ main building. The artist is “Bolesławiec” Ceramic Works employee Andrzej Pachom, whose ceramic pictures can be admired, among other places, in the conference room of BOK-MCC and at the “Orka” Bolesławiec Water Park.

A ceramic street-name plaque was also installed on the building. “We set an example and showed that such or similar plaques can be mounted on buildings,” emphasizes the president of the “Bolesławiec” Ceramic Works. “It would be good if more plaques of this kind could be found in the city of ceramics. I proposed cooperation in this area to the mayor. Our company could undertake to make them.”

“This year we have become significantly involved in organizing the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival,” Karol Stasik continues. A market fair is taking place in the square by the Works (ZC products can be bought at bargain prices), and employees will traditionally take part in the parade opening the 19th edition of the BŚC. Everyone can visit the company’s headquarters, and at the Works’ stand in the Market Square, transform into Zdobinka and view the collection of vessels with artistic decorations.

What is more, the BOK-MCC Long Gallery is hosting the exhibition “New Design in Bolesławiec Ceramics,” which features, among other things, products from the Works. “This exhibition shows that the ‘Bolesławiec’ Ceramic Works continues the decorative tradition of the famous pre-war Reinhold factories. It is worth seeing,” the company’s president encourages.
