The project received funding from the Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2007–2013. The funding amounts to PLN 6,605,784.69 and accounts for 70% of the project’s eligible expenditure; total expenditure amounts to PLN 11,610,040.65.

The building is to undergo a number of construction interventions, primarily to install a lift for people with disabilities connecting the basement, ground floor, first floor and attic, involving the demolition of sections of the ceilings above the basement and ground floor. A number of demolitions will serve to widen existing passageways and doors and create new passageways in the building. The project provides for the demolition of the levelling steps on the first floor and their replacement with a ramp, as well as the removal of the existing changing cubicles on the ground floor and first floor of the pool hall.

The facility will also feature a shallower pool basin, with a new stainless-steel basin, upper-level overflow channels, water attractions and lighting installed inside it. Steps and a lift for people with disabilities will replace the ladders used to enter the water.

The pool hall will include three mini pools of the “Jacuzzi” type, including one brine pool. The pool equipment will include hydromassage devices, water cannons and sprinklers. The wellness room will be equipped, among other things, with massage beds, bathtubs and hydromassage devices. The cardio room will include a treadmill, rowing machines, steppers, elliptical trainers and exercise benches. The historic swimming pool’s facilities will also include dry, steam and infrared saunas, a spa capsule, a vacuum walking cabin and a salt grotto.

Conservation work includes, among other things, replacing the roof tiles over the pool section, repairing and conserving sections of the clinker facing on the façades, cleaning and conserving the stone plinths, repairing damage to the surfaces of dark-green decorative tiles, and conserving other historic ceramic wall coverings.

The work will also include conserving the skylight above the pool hall by cleaning the glass surfaces and securing the structure. The railings from the steps being removed will be used in the newly designed steps. The sandstone slabs and terracotta will be cleaned, impregnated and treated to make them water-repellent.

The construction works will also include replacing the roof covering and adding insulation, installation work, finishing work, drying out damp basement walls, installing insulation, and rebuilding the floors, primarily in the pool basement, adapting them to the requirements of the planned technology. Internal and external illumination is planned for the facility. The works are being carried out by Skanska. On 13 May 2013, Bolesławiec president Piotr Roman and Dariusz Raczycki, director of the Project Team at Skanska, signed an agreement to carry out the task.
