Construction work to adapt the former Orzeł cinema for the Centrum Integracji Kulturalnej in Bolesławiec was completed in July. Proceedings are currently underway for the supply of equipment and furnishings for the Centrum Integracji Kulturalnej.

It is worth recalling that the investment involved the reconstruction of the existing former Orzeł cinema building. The introduction of new functions will create the Centrum Integracji Kulturalnej. The building's interior wall layout was modified, and the adjoining courtyards were reconstructed. The facility is planned to include: an auditorium with an additional cinema function, photography and film studios, hygiene and sanitary facilities, and utility rooms.

On the ground floor, the internal circulation layout was changed to adapt the facility to the needs of people with disabilities. An elevator was installed in the building, and the staircase was partially reconstructed. The tenement house's first floor contains offices and studios. Guest rooms with bathrooms are located on the second floor and in the attic. The building's form, roof shape, and the surrounds of the window and door openings have been preserved in their original form. The renovation of the former Orzeł cinema is subject to heritage protection.

The project “Adaptation of the former Orzeł cinema for the needs of the Centrum Integracji Kulturalnej” is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund, under Priority 9 “Revitalisation of degraded urban areas in Lower Silesia (‘Cities’),” Measure 9.1 “Revitalisation of degraded urban areas in cities with more than 10,000 inhabitants” of the Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2007–2013.
