The meeting was attended, among others, by county authorities and a representative of the Main Board of the Polish Red Cross. Third-degree badges of Merit Honorary Blood Donor were awarded to Jerzy Świątkowski and Mariusz Padewski. Meanwhile, Czesław Makler, Arkadiusz Rygalski and Grzegorz Prystupa received second-degree badges of Merit Honorary Blood Donor.
After the decorations were presented, a shooting competition was held. Fifteen women and 27 men took part. Agata Pieszko won the women’s category. Joanna Puchalska and Teresa Markiton came next. Among the men, Roman Pieszko shot best, followed by Rafał Szamański and Edmund Borecki.
The competition winners received attractive prizes, including a set of stainless-steel pots, a cordless telephone and a coffee machine. The prizes were funded by: County Council Chairman Jan Cołokidzi, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Michał Turkiewicz, Dariusz Pawliszczy, Przemysław Godek, Zbigniew Rychert, Elżbieta Borkowska, Tadeusz Kordas and the District Board of the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec. Refreshments were prepared for all participants in the shooting competition. Children were also taken into consideration. Games and activities, along with small gifts, were organized for them.
