The “Tango Argentino” project involves Polish-German Argentine tango workshops, which will be held at BOK-MCC. The German partner of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre is Tango argentino e.V., Görlitz.

The project will last ten months and will consist of eight workshop sessions plus a final event featuring the Argentine couple Gaia Pisauro and Leandro Furlan, as well as a band performing Latin American music. Each workshop session ends with a shared milonga, where all participants have the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into practice. The milongas are open meetings to which all Argentine tango enthusiasts are invited.

The first workshop session was led by an instructor couple from Wrocław: Anita and Piotr Kozołub. The four-hour session, held in two groups—beginner and intermediate—took place with more participants than expected. Around 50 people took part in both the workshops and the milonga, including 17 people from Germany. The next project meeting will take place on Saturday, 20 July.

The “Tango Argentino: Polish-German Dance Workshops” project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by state budget funds, with the support of the Nysa Euroregion.
