A fire broke out in a barn in Czerna on Wednesday around noon. Compressed hay and two trailers were burning. After bringing the fire under control, the firefighters continued extinguishing it for more than half a day.

During the fire, one of the barn's gable walls collapsed onto a neighboring residential building, destroying its roof and ceiling. The barn burned down completely. What remained of it was demolished because the structure threatened to collapse.

The operation involved 7 rescuers from Bolesławiec and 24 firefighters from volunteer fire brigades in Nowogrodziec, Czerna, Wykroty and Gierałtów.
