The Harvest Festival of Bolesławiec Municipality began with a solemn mass and the playing of the national anthem. Sunday’s celebrations featured wreaths woven from this year’s crops and loaves of bread. The farmers presented the symbols of the harvest to Kazimierz Gawron, Head of the Bolesławiec Rural Municipality and, at the same time, host of the harvest festival.
After the spiritual and patriotic part of the celebrations, it was time for fun and entertainment. The organizers prepared many attractions. Folk groups, children and dance performers took the stage. In addition, numerous competitions were held. The grain threshing competition using flails and the presak throwing competition were just some of them. The Municipal Harvest Festival ended with a dance party.
The organizers of the Municipal Harvest Festival in Dobra were the local Village Council and the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn.
