The match began with chaotic play from both teams. During the first 10 minutes, it was difficult to determine which side had the advantage. In the 13th minute, Orzeł’s goalkeeper narrowly beat Grzegorz Nowak to the ball. The visiting goalkeeper managed to snatch the ball from under our player’s feet at the last moment. In the 21st minute, Grzegorz Nowak once again had a chance to score. Our player narrowly missed with a header following a corner. During the second and third quarters of the first half, the visitors dominated the field. Orzeł forward Rafał Krakowiak had many opportunities to score. The Bolesławiec player unleashed a powerful but unfortunately inaccurate shot.
The visitors continued to have the upper hand in the second half. BKS’s players fell back into defence and limited themselves to launching counterattacks. In the 63rd minute, BKS were fortunate. A shot by the visitors struck the post. A minute later, Marcin Szaja shot at Orzeł’s goal, but the visiting goalkeeper caught the ball without difficulty. Until the end of the match, the Bolesławiec players had several more chances to score. Tomasz Jasiński and Marek Kumoś both had opportunities. Unfortunately, the shot was too weak in the first case and inaccurate in the second. The final minutes of the match were a real horror for Bolesławiec’s supporters. BKS Bolesławiec drew 0–0 with Orzeł Ząbkowice Śląskie, with great difficulty.
Coaches’ comments
Orzeł coach Arkadiusz Albrecht was not particularly pleased with his players’ performance in the match. He also did not want to comment on the game.
BKS coach Marcin Ciliński: "It was a good and fast-paced match. Both sides created several chances. I’m pleased with what we have. I believe we didn’t give up easily and fought until the end. Ząbkowice are one of the better teams. They are certainly physically stronger than us. I won’t hide the fact that we have problems with our squad. The substitutes’ bench consists entirely of last year’s juniors. In addition, it so happens that at the beginning of the season we are playing teams that aspire to the third division. Despite this, we are gradually collecting points and will try to play as well as possible".
