Police detained a 28-year-old woman from Bolesławiec suspected of obtaining mobile phones and telecommunications services by fraud. In February 2012, the woman deliberately misled a mobile phone company representative twice. First, she signed a contract with him under which she bought a new phone at an attractive price, then sold it for PLN 400 at one of the second-hand shops in Bolesławiec. Two days later, she did the same thing again.
Moreover, the 28-year-old used the SIM cards from both phones alternately, thereby obtaining telecommunications services worth PLN 800 by fraud. The phone company estimated its losses at nearly PLN 2,400.
The woman from Bolesławiec admitted to the crime. She now faces up to 8 years in prison.
