At one of the scrap-metal collection points, officers found parts of a car that had been stolen on the night of May 15–16 from the center of Bolesławiec. The perpetrator of the theft turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, who three days earlier... had sold the car (worth PLN 1,200) to another man.
The 23-year-old hid the vehicle on the outskirts of the place where he lived. Two days after the theft, the car was stolen from the thief by a group of four men (aged 23 to 38), who sold it at a scrap-metal collection point.
The entire group of five detainees now faces up to 10 years in prison.
