Mateusz’s work is entitled “Kosmos” and received an award in an art competition for children and young people on astronomical and Copernican themes. The competition was organized by the District Museum in Toruń as part of the Copernican Heritage Days. The competition attracted exceptionally great interest. A total of 763 works were submitted from across Poland. The exhibition was presented on 18 May as part of the European Night of Museums in the basement of the Esken House in Toruń.

“The children became very enthusiastic about this competition,” says Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska. “We won one of three equal awards. The subject was very interesting, and my students still want to paint outer space,” the instructor adds.

The honorary patronage of the competition was assumed by Bronisław Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland.
