Police officers arrested a man who fled the scene of the crime. The 36-year-old will face charges for committing two burglaries and attempting two more. The thief was interested in bicycles left in the cellars by residents of the apartment building. The man broke the padlocks in four cellar rooms. In two cases, he stole bicycles. The suspect fled the scene of the crime after being frightened off by a resident of the building.

Immediate police action, following information received about the burglaries, led to the man's swift arrest. The bicycles stolen by the thief were returned to their rightful owners. The burglar was placed in police custody. Police officers secured the tool used by the perpetrator to commit the burglaries. The 36-year-old had previously been convicted of property-related crimes.

Theft with burglary carries a penalty of up to 10 years' imprisonment.
