The second edition of the Provincial Skilled Bricklayer Competition, organized by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship OHP Headquarters in Wrocław and the Bolesławiec Labour Corps, was held on April 26. During the competition, which aimed to assess the young participants’ level of professional skills and knowledge, as well as prepare them for their upcoming examinations, two-person teams from Dzierżoniów, Legnica, Jawor, Ziębice, Strzelin and Bolesławiec demonstrated their theoretical knowledge and mastery of trowel work.

The competition had a ceremonial setting. The event was honored by the presence of: Voivodeship OHP Commander Piotr Olchówka, member of the Bolesławiec County Board Dariusz Kwaśniewski, director of the Construction School Complex Jacek Jurkiewicz and head of the office of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship Urszula Róg.

The participants were assessed by a panel consisting of: Zenon Macel, Justyna Waśko and Edmund Ostrowski. The best bricklayers were once again representatives of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec: Patryk Czarnota and Piotr Kosiński. The duo advanced to the national stage, which will be held in Pasłęk. The team from Dzierżoniów took second place, while the team from Legnica came third.

Piotr Olchówka, commander of the Bolesławiec Labour Corps Jacek Nesler and Jacek Jurkiewicz presented the prizes and diplomas. All competition participants received commemorative gadgets funded by employers, including Rafał Tomczyk.
