From the opening minutes of Saturday’s match, the visitors imposed a fast pace. In the 11th minute, the Oława side could have scored. A powerful shot flew just over Marek Przykłota’s goal. The next dangerous attack by the visitors ended similarly. Bolesławiec responded in the 15th minute with an attack down the right side of the pitch. Marcin Szaja received an accurate pass from Robert Nitarski. Marcin laid the ball off to Radek Pietkiewicz, who in turn passed accurately to Paweł Rissmann. Unfortunately, the latter’s shot was blocked.

In the 18th minute, the visitors scored from a free kick. The goal was scored by Dariusz Bęś, who beat the BKS goalkeeper with a technical shot into the right corner of the goal. From that moment, the visitors’ advantage became apparent. Our defenders could not keep up with the visitors’ forwards and midfielders. The Oława side launched very dangerous attacks. They took numerous shots at Marek Przykłota’s goal; fortunately, many of them were inaccurate. Before half-time, BKS launched several more attacks, but none resulted in an equaliser. Paweł Rissmann, Tomasz Jasiński and Radek Pietkiewicz had chances to score. Just before the break, the crossbar saved the visitors from conceding an equaliser. Radek Pietkiewicz was somewhat unlucky to hit it after an accurate pass from Marcin Ciliński.

At the start of the second half, the visitors fell back into defence. For 15 minutes, play took place mainly in midfield and there were no dangerous attacks. In the 55th minute, Marek Przykłota made a good save. The visitors still had the advantage, so they opted for increasingly bolder attacks. In the 65th minute, BKS had a chance to equalise. An accurately delivered ball reached Adrian Popek, who struck it hard and accurately, but the visiting goalkeeper managed to tip the ball behind for a corner. Four minutes later, the missed chance came back to haunt BKS. Sławomir Winiarski scored Oława’s second goal. The player beat our goalkeeper with a header. From that point on, the visitors dominated on the pitch.

Towards the end of the match, BKS players desperately tried to score a contact goal. They succeeded in the 84th minute. Paweł Rissmann produced a fine shot from around 30 metres. However, no further goals were scored before the final whistle. BKS lost 1–2 at home to MKS Oława.

Coaches’ comments

Visiting coach Stanisław Szałajko: "I think the match ended as the play suggested it would. We won, although Bolesławiec also had a few chances. We failed to take advantage of many opportunities in the first half. There was also a mistake by the centre-backs during a long-range lob, which meant we were nervous in the final minutes. In my opinion, the result is fair. We were certainly the better team, so we deserved to win."

Marcin Ciliński, BKS coach: "We were definitely the weaker team, especially in the first half. We slept through the first half. I am somewhat surprised by the team’s performance and it is difficult for me to say why it happened. Perhaps it is because we play practically every match with a different line-up. Pietrzak and Jacek Jasiński were absent today, Fulczyński is ill, and the bench consists entirely of youngsters. Perhaps it is down to our physical preparation. From one week to the next, some train while others do not, and you cannot fool the ball."
