Police officers from Bolesławiec detained two 18-year-olds suspected of committing 42 burglaries of garden allotment sheds at the turn of March and April. Over 9 days, the teenagers stole items left by allotment gardeners (including wires, water meters and gas cylinders), which they later sold at a scrap-metal collection point. They were caught when they tried to sell one of the stolen gas cylinders.
Both detainees admitted their guilt. They now face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
