The collision occurred on Holy Saturday at around 9:00 a.m. near Łaziska (Bolesławiec Rural Municipality). An American driving a Volkswagen Sharan failed to yield to a resident of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality driving a Volkswagen Polo. The cars collided, causing the Polo driver to leave the road, enter a ditch and roll over.
The person responsible for the collision was fined. The Volkswagen Polo driver, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec.
