The Mayor of Nogent sur Marne (France), Bolesławiec’s partner city, has once again invited residents of our city to take part in the Nogent Baltard event—a 10-kilometre race. This year’s edition will take place on 13 May. Both amateurs and licensed competitors may participate, although they must be adults.
Bolesławiec will be represented in France by a four-person team. Mayor Piotr Roman invites residents of Bolesławiec to submit their applications at the headquarters of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre on Spółdzielcza Street (the stadium). Applications may be submitted until 5 April at 3:00 p.m..
All interested parties will be notified individually of the date and venue of the qualifying races. The application form can be downloaded from the MOSiR website.
Last year, Bolesławiec’s representatives performed very well in Nogent sur Marne. Paulina Olszowy was the best in the junior women’s category and fourth in the overall women’s classification. Dariusz Łomański finished fourth (and first in the 40–45 veteran age category); just before the finish line, he was overtaken by a runner from France. The Bolesławiec team was completed by Anna Domańska and Andrzej Stefańczyk.
