“During questioning, the Germans did not declare membership in any organisation; they also explained that they had not acted on anyone’s orders,” says Adam Zieliński, the District Prosecutor from Bolesławiec.

A week ago, posters in German appeared on noticeboards and at bus stops in Bolesławiec, concerning alleged murders committed against Germans after the war by Poles and Czechs.

Last week, police detained three young Germans suspected of putting up the posters. The city president filed a report on the matter with the prosecutor’s office.

According to the newspaper, the councillor belongs to the German nationalist party DSU.
