A reader contacted our editorial office, outraged by the locations where two PiS candidates for the European Parliament are being advertised. The reader asks whether PiS is above the law.

One of the banners was placed on the fence of the Piarist School in Bolesławiec, where election campaigning is not permitted. The banner was illegally placed on the school fence during the night of 29–30 May. After 1:00 a.m., a car pulled into the parking lot behind BOK-MCC. Two people got out and hung the banner. They then drove away in the direction of Bankowa Street. Our camera recorded the incident.

In a telephone conversation, the director of the Piarist School assured us that the poster had already been removed and that it had appeared on the school fence without permission or any prior information from the person who hung it. He also admitted that the school was not an appropriate place for such actions.

The second poster was placed on noticeboards (near Orka and on Ogrodowa Street).

Although these noticeboards are intended for election posters, the PiS posters were pasted in the section designated for official election notices.
