Representatives of the Jewish community maintain that in 1933 the plot on Kubika Street belonged to the Synagogal Community in Bolesławiec, and that a synagogue stood on it. In this matter, representatives of the Jewish community turned to the Regulatory Commission in Warsaw. After examining the case, the Commission issued a ruling supporting the Jewish community’s application and ordering the Municipality of Bolesławiec to obligatorily transfer ownership of the property.
The Jewish community had already tried to recover the property earlier. During the February session, city councillors unanimously rejected a resolution on transferring ownership of the plot.
The property that has become the property of the Jewish community in Wrocław is not intended for development. According to the spatial development plan, the area is to remain as it is now. It is therefore not entirely clear why the Jewish community tried so persistently to obtain it.
