Thieves have taken a liking to stylish and sturdy benches. Those stolen from the area around the court were installed there in the spring of this year. The stolen benches may perhaps continue to serve their previous purpose, only in someone’s home garden. No one was caught in the act.
The Municipal Department, which is carrying out the city beautification programme, will purchase another batch of benches in the near future.
