The winter holidays have come to an end. For two weeks, young people took part in 15 themed activities prepared by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre and enjoyed a rich cinema programme. The first week was devoted mainly to workshops in the dance, music, and ceramics and sculpture studios.

BOK-MCC’s programme for the second week was equally rich. Guitar workshops with instructor Mirosław Kuc continued in the music studio. As in the previous week, the classes enjoyed very high interest. Meanwhile, the dance studio hosted week-long “To a Folk Tune” workshops, during which instructor Agnieszka Podłaszczyk introduced participants to the dances and songs of the Lublin region.

From Monday to Wednesday, the Forum cinema building hosted film workshops, during which each participant could learn what creating a film production looks like in practice under the expert guidance of Michał Szwed.

On Saturday, 2 February, Wrocław artist Joanna Teper led a workshop on basic ceramic-shaping techniques in the ceramics studio. The remaining art classes focused on fashion & desing. Instructors Marcelina Łagódka, Dorota Dziedzic-Lechowska and Katarzyna Zarówny conducted the two-day “Recycling in Fashion” workshop. Participants could take on the role of fashion designers, using seemingly useless materials such as old fabrics, clothes, and plastic cups. The subsequent “School Eco-Desing” classes for children and young people covered a similar theme; recycled materials were used to create stationery holders and organisers.

Throughout the second week of the holidays, classes were held in the glass and stained-glass studio under the guidance of Magdalena Konieczna. Children and young people took part in the interdisciplinary “Glass Cities” workshops. On the final day of the holidays, the art workshop “Everyone Makes a Gift for Valentine’s Day” was held.

A total of 350 participants took part in BOK-MCC’s themed workshops, while nearly 2,400 cinema-goers used its offering.
