The accident occurred on February 7, after 11:00 a.m. On the route between Kraśnik Dolny and Krzyżowa, a Mercedes Sprinter collided with a Renault Twingo. Preliminary police findings indicate that the driver of the Renault Twingo moved into the opposite lane and collided with the Mercedes. The people traveling in the Twingo were trapped. Firefighters had to cut open the bodywork of the passenger car. Both vehicles had registration plates from Bolesławiec. Ten people were injured in the collision. Some were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec, and others to Legnica.
The cars collided in a forest, at a place where the road was icy. Precisely at the same spot where a minibus accident also occurred two days earlier.
