The “Gazeta Wrocławska” compared the expenses of a hypothetical family with a school-age child living in a 50-square-metre owner-occupied apartment in eight county-capital cities of Lower Silesia. It turned out that it is cheapest now in Bolesławiec! The comparison included, among other things, local taxes and fees (property tax, waste collection fee, water and sewage rates, rainwater fee, dog fee, a monthly public transport pass for all routes and a monthly parking subscription for parking in the city centre), cinema ticket prices, hairdressing services and the fee for an eight-hour stay in a public kindergarten with full meals.

This is good news not only for Bolesławiec residents, but also for everyone planning to change their place of residence. Bolesławiec is also a good place to invest

  • The Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park” Bolesławiec Subzone operates in Bolesławiec. In total, new plants have occupied more than 14 hectares of the Bolesławiec Subzone of the WSSE “Invest-Park”
  • The zone is an ideal place to invest for both large companies and small family businesses
  • Everyone who decides to invest in the special economic zone can count on tax exemptions amounting to 60% of investment outlays for small enterprises, 50% for medium-sized enterprises and 40% for large plants. The rules for tax exemption are set out in the permit to conduct business activity in the area covered by the special economic zone, which the investor receives after deciding to invest in the zone. Investors locating investments in Bolesławiec can count on exemptions from local taxes (property tax)
  • Tax exemptions for entrepreneurs are specified in two resolutions of the Bolesławiec City Council – concerning de minimis aid and regional aid. In the case of de minimis aid, an entrepreneur can obtain a tax exemption after creating just five new jobs. In the case of regional aid, obtaining an exemption from property tax is conditional on incurring investment outlays of at least PLN 500,000 or creating at least 20 new jobs. Higher investment outlays or creating more jobs than the minimum extends the tax-exemption period. The maximum period of exemption from property tax is 10 years.
